When democracy turns into democrazy
Demonstration of craziness... That's what happens when the losing side in an election screams, "It's not possible...!"
Take Iran, for example. The current election trouble there is as follows:
Clashes erupt in Iran over disputed election
Protests Greet Ahmadinejad Win in Iran: 'It's Not Possible!'
World reacts cautiously to Iranian's re-election
Ahmadinejad Declared Winner in Disputed Vote
Often, I have wondered why electoral systems sometimes fail to provide for outcomes like this, especially when an unpopular incumbent wins out of the blue against a resurgent worthy-but-relatively-unknown opponent.
Perhaps, it is another clarion call for the need for voters to go out enmasse to cast their ballot for their candidate of choice?
Believe me, Obama probably would not be in the White House but for the massive voter turnout last year - people got off their derrieres and went to the polls instead folding their arms and adopting the usual wait and se attitude to politics.
