Marrying for money just got better reception
There was a time when love meant everything to human beings. A woman who got a second look from a man, and vice versa, often translated that to mean love at first sight.
There used to be an old joke about a man who sat his son down to tell him about the birds and the bees and other prenuptial talk.
"I never touched your mother's pants until we got married," he informed him. Looking up in disbelief, his son replied, "Really, dad? I never knew that girls wore pants back then."
These days it seems that marriage has become just a commodity to be sacrificed and traded at the altar of finance or economics.
I am not pontificating. It's just that I read an article about a trend in marriage for economic benefit. The days of the marriage of convenience have returned again.
Talk about getting insurance for your future health with a marital union or an amicable divorce!
