Listless over roller sandwiches
In my country, roller sandwiches are also known as meat or fish tolls of various kinds, named uniquely by their respective manufacturers.
In standard catering jargon, a roller sandwiches are "slender, wrap-style cold cuts that have been sliced into thin, round sections, to be served as finger food."
The linked story above also informed me that contaminated food or roller sandwiches are dangerous because of listeria infection symptoms and consequences:
"While listeria usually creates only mild symptoms, if any, it can be life threatening for some elderly, young children and persons with weakened immune systems, such as cancer patients. It can also cause stillbirths in pregnant women."
That certainly will get me checking the expiry date of any sandwich or food at all before putting hand to mouth.
