I SMELL VICTORY AT LONG LAST!
This is my first post in Blogger.com. Please forgive me if my excitement rubs off on my normally well-thought out blog posts. The title of the post is appropriate because the journey to this stage of post creation was quite tortuous. You won't believe the number of times that my internet connection got interrupted because of waiting for the URL availability check to be completed. Just hoping that the title to my blog is worth all the effort put in so far and would draw the anticipated audience to this blog post. Well, all's well that ends well hopefully.
I had intended to make the posts in this blog to be thematic; but, on second thought, I have decided to not to put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. So, if my chosen topic for a blog post is unappealing to you on any particular day, I would be very grateful to you for some feedback and suggestions on possible topics or subjects that are of interest to you. And please, if my work on your behalf is not up to par, criticize me. I love criticisms. Always makes me do better. This fact is especially important because your comments would go a long way in improving the overall content of blogs on the Internet. So, everyone is better off overall and we all win in the end. Thank you for your precious time so far given to me generously.
By the way, my sense of smell has been known to be quite powerful. I recall being able to smell water boiling on the cooker once. I had just returned from work to find my house locked up and the housekeeper nowhere to be found. Luckily, I had my spare keys in the car and was able to switch off the gas supply to the steaming kettle. The housekeeper had gone out to pick up something from the corner store and hadgotten into a delaying side chat.
At other times, my wife has found it difficult to surprise me with practically any kind of meal. I would let her know the various ingredients used for preparing it as well as what may be missing. That was at first, of course. More mature now, I feign surprise more often to please her and play along. I think she appreciates that. Do you have any special sensory gifts to share with me?
